To people interested in joining our laboratory:

The work in our laboratory is focused on the modification of polymers based on organic synthesis and characterization and biological analysis using cultured cells to develop next generation biomaterials. While working in our lab, you will be able to learn new research skills while performing your own research. These skills include experimental protocols, the evaluation of results, and interpreting and analyzing research articles. In addition, it is also important to make verbal and written presentations of your research. In addition to experimental techniques, I will teach you how to construct experimental systems, how to interpret your results, and how to publicly present your results to a high standard. I encourage doctoral students to use their own initiative, and allow them to practice their research independently with our guidance and support.

I am convinced that people perform best doing the things they enjoy. I started doing research about ten years ago, and have produced several functional materials as a result of my own ideas. What an exciting experience that is! Please contact me if you are interested in our research.
